N Mpls Transit mtgs

The Northside Transportation Network ("NTN") has scheduled some public
meetings to get North Minneapolis residents involved in the Bottineau
Corridor project. Resident involvement is key as Hennepin County moves
forward with plans for developing the Bottineau Corridor.

Note Mtg #1 was well attended by about 140 people.

Public Meeting #1:
Date: Thursday, September 23, 2010
Time: 6pm-8:30pm
Location: Urban Research and Outreach/Engagement Center ("UROC")
2001 Plymouth Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411
Agenda:
o report to the community on NTN's process
o review the decision making process for the LRT line
o present a case study of another community that acted collectively to
  proactively plan for transportation and economic development.
o break into small groups to discuss transportation issues.

Public Meeting #2:
Date:  Date to be announced ( formerly announced date: Oct 21, 2010 may change)
Time: 6pm-8:30pm
Location: UROC, 2001 Plymouth Avenue North Minneapolis, MN 55411
Agenda: Followup intended to move closer to consensus on a
 "preferred local alternative".

NOTE that these meetings are not intended as an introduction to the
proposed routes through (D2) or around (D1) North Minneapolis.

A seperate informational meeting to review proposed rail alignments:
Thur Oct 7th 6:30pm (location to be announced)
